Using Vinegar To Clean Your Bathroom

We all have vinegar in the house, there is usually a bottle in our kitchen cupboard. There are different types of vinegar from malt to beer and from white to balsamic. But to clean the bathroom you will need some white distilled vinegar. Here are some awesome ways to use vinegar to get your bathroom sparkling. Make sure you have the white vinegar, damp cloth and an old toothbrush.

The Bath And Sink

To clean your bath out, you can dip a cloth into some full-strength white distilled vinegar. This will get rid of bacteria and then leave your bath with the best shine. Make sure you rinse the bath out thoroughly after you have used the white vinegar. If you have stubborn water marks that won’t go away, fill the bath over the water marks and add 750mls (1.5 pints) of distilled white vinegar. Leave the water in the bath whilst you go to work or overnight. Then empty the bath and wipe the water marks away.

Ceramic Tiles And Grout

Using a 3 to 1 mixture of 3 parts warm water and 1 part white vinegar. Damp a cloth down with the mixture and wipe over the tiles, this method also helps to keep the grout cleaner too. But if your grout is really bad, you can take an old toothbrush with some undiluted white vinegar. Then scrub the grout to restore it to how it should be.

Taps And Shower Heads

It always gets grubby around the bottom of your taps, but you can clean this with some kitchen paper towels. Place them in some undiluted white vinegar until the towels have soaked up some vinegar. Then lay them around the tap base. Leave it for about 4 hours to do its work. You should be able to then use an old toothbrush to wipe away the grime.

The showerheads also need cleaning to get rid of mineral deposits. If there is too much mineral build-up, it can cause blockages and your shower will not work as it should. You can place a removable shower head in a bucket of boiled water and 110 MLS of white vinegar. Leave it for 10 minutes and then rinse it off.

For fixed showerheads, take some undiluted vinegar and put it in a plastic bag. Place it over the showerhead and leave it for an hour. Then wipe the vinegar away before you use it.

Limescale

Limescale is so common in the bathroom, but it is also rubbish to try and remove. Heat some undiluted white vinegar in a pan. Carefully pour it over the bathroom parts that are covered in limescale, and as it loosens you can wipe it away.

Toilet

Pour half a litre of undiluted white vinegar into the toilet bowl. If you leave it to work overnight and it will get rid of watermarks at the bottom of the toilets. Then in the morning, simply flush it away.

Get Rid Of Soap Build Up

Soap buildup in the bathroom is so ugly, but you can easily get rid of it. Put some undiluted white vinegar onto a damp cloth and wipe it over the area. Leave it for 5 minutes and then wipe it away. Hopefully, the soap will wipe away straight away.
